So we got our snow this past Sunday, we were supposed to get a wintery mix again today... which we didn't. We got rain BOOO, which means I have to go to work tomorrow. The luxury of working at a school is remarkable. Unfortunately I have a hard running truck, which means I really have no excuse to call out on a day it's snowing hehe.

As you may've saw in my last journal I finally got accepted through the HARPG, they were very quick about getting back to me, I was just a little slow to get my application finished. Me being OCD, I wanted to make sure it was perfect before I submitted it. Needless to say I'll tweak it more as I go on, but I hope to have a overview of it so ya'll can literally see what it looks like.

I'm up to five real life horses now, don't automatically think I have $$ because the truth is... I don't. I live at home and I pay for my main horse's supplements and my vehicle repairs + gas. Which my car made me broke last month and this month I'll be broke from 1. Christmas Shopping and 2. Supplements. .

Would anyone entertain the idea of entering an "Extreme Cowboy" competition I'd host? Digital Drawings would be the prizes... Let me know, I thought it'd be cool. Only I'm so quiet around here I think it'd be hard to get a good chunk of folks to enter.

I implore you all to bear with me, I am completely oblivious to this process. I did what I felt was right, but most of my horses are made up on the spot, no bloodlines, nothing. So in turn I don't have anything for Sire or Dam. I haven't bred any of my characters as I've been waiting to join the HARPG. I certainly hope in the end I did everything okay, I tried to do by best and produce what I could.

I only used the horses that I commonly draw. While one will remain barren, she is a WIP that I would like to keep you all up to date when/if I am accepted into the HARPG.

The gravel road branches off from the main road that was rather desolate and this Cyprus lined driveway with black clad fenceposts nestled in behind it, concealing the vast open pastures behind the wall-like Cyprus trees. The familiar aroma of horses invades the smell of the vehicle. Shortly after the smell as invaded your senses you come around to a large yawning Entrance. The "arch" is that of what seems to be Oak and clad on it in rusted letters, but clearly kept: "Reverence Ranch." Certainly this is the place you've been looking for on your journey's if not to purchase an equine or of sheer human curiosity; either way... You continue onward.

The Cyprus trees have retreated, leaving tastefully placed Oak's lining the black clad fence, four rails high. With your window down the chilly winter breeze seeps into your warm clothes. The hum of your engine, the crackling gravel is all you hear until it's interrupted by a shrill whinny. Letting your gaze a lone horse grazes in the pasture, only now the horse's head is up; staring at you. With quivering nostrils of silent nickering the horse is that of a dun, breaking into a trot briskly to challenge the strength of the fence in his efforts to greet you. With a subtle smile on your lips you continue onward; saving the meeting for a later day.

Guiding your vehicle into a gravel marked parking spot you step out, a German Shepherd is the first to greet you as he beats you with his wagging tail and leans on you in affection. You only pet him for a moment before affectionately shoeing the friendly dog away. Before you get the chance to enter the barn a man and woman come to you first with gretting smiles. You can only assume is the owners. The man introduces himself as "Tanner DeWalt" and the woman introduces herself as "Aideen Roth."

With greeting's aside you wander further with the two Employee's of Reverence Ranch. Montana certainly lived up to its nature of cold and wet in the winter months. The barn is your first stop where you are introduced to the equine of the facilities. The indoor arena occupied by handlers and horses that are clearly young and in the process of being schooled.

So yeah, I scraped the 100 Theme Challenge thing, I just dont' have the motivation. I've really been trying to get better about it and the fact I quit my job has helped. My new job starts on the 2nd of September, I'm psyched! I'll be a Paraprofessional in the Special Ed class. I've got a brother who is mentally handicapped, so I grew up with living with one of these kids. They're amazing people, really. If you haven't taken the time to sit down and experience what they have to offer, you're missing out. They may be different, but they truly teach you the value of life. The value of being what people label as "Normal."

Seriously, I implore you to sit down or interact with these kids, they really open your eyes.

I think I'm going to choose a whole new route on how I approach DA and my art. I've had a lot of pent of emotions that have no way of escaping other than anger and the people in my life that receive that it just isn't fair. So hopefully my art will be my scapegoat and will be able to keep my family from receiving the brunt of my emotions.

Most of my characters I will be eliminating to start new, however, I will be keeping the following:

Which basically sums up on the only characters I've been drawing, but I probably will be bringing another character, or perhaps two that will illuminate the mood of the drawings. I tried a new form of coloring which was from the 'Dr. Pepper' addiction picture But I'll be staying to my old style.

Hopefully things will come around and I applaud my watchers that have stuck by me in my drawn out hiatuses. I really do thank you.
