Bauer snorted at this new advancing equine, a male at that, with ears firmly set back and teeth somewhat exposed he offered no warm welcome. A muscled neck was coiled into an arch and yet he persisted to hold his head up arrogantly. A firm clamp of teeth and the figure ceased all movement, "Who are you and what do you want?" Bauer snorted with utter distaste as he kept his distance, legs slightly spread for sheer intimidation. Bauer had a job to do and that was to protect his own herd, while only possessing one mare it was only obvious why Bauer's hostility showed no bounds with unfamiliar equine. "Speak up." the words coiled with a low throaty growl, nostrils flared and collapsed analyzing this new earthy equine smell.

Nescar showed no aggression, he knew better than that. Rather than throwing himself into arrogance he chose to analyze the surroundings. The unfamiliar male obviously offered no welcome and that was the least to be expected. Nescar gave no impression of hostility, no challenge for Bauer's lone mare. The grass rustled beneath his hooves, giving a rather thick coat a wave of its own as if mocking the grass below to show it may do the same. Nescar kept his gaze downward and only chose to look up when Bauer demanded an answer. Nescar daringly advanced, seeing the muscles twitch in Bauer's shoulders he did not cower back. "Nescar... I have come to join. I offer no threat, I will steal no mare of yours, Bauer." the words were forward, bold, and unwavering. As he spoke Bauer's name the surprise was obviously in his expression. The aggression on Bauer's face fell, his ears forward and his expression curious. A subtle and silent acceptance was expressed and Nescar was now at ease. He chose being feral over domestication and despite the sudden aggression from an unknown stud, he was not discouraged.

While Bauer was not entirely sure of this newcomer, as you can see he obviously accepted him. I honestly think Bauer enjoys the company of Nescar versus that pain in the toosh Vulcan : )

I really enjoy this picture and I had fun doing it, although the shading was a pain, I still had fun doing this. I absolutely wuv wuv WUV Nescar's tail for some reason and his pose
